Blake’s Corner Bar hosts exciting week of events in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness for second year running.
In support of October being the dedicated Breast Cancer Awareness month, Blake’s Corner Bar located on Eglinton Street has partnered up with Breast Cancer Research to host a jam-packed charity week from Monday October 23rd until Sunday October 29th.
For the duration of the week, Blake’s Corner Bar will be shaking up two signature cocktails, the “Hendricks Daisy” and the “Small Batch Old Fashioned” with the cost of each sold going directly to Breast Cancer Research.
On Wednesday October 25th it’s time to test your knowledge with a table quiz hosted by Galway Bay FM’s Ollie Turner. A table of four costs €50 and it promises to be a fun night for all involved. Be sure to round up a group of your work colleagues, family or friends as there is a prize for the winning team, along with spot prizes on the night.
Towards the end of the week, on Friday 27th October they will host a Whiskey Tasting event at 7pm which is a must for whiskey lovers. The tasting will be hosted by Kevin Hurley, Teeling’s Global Whiskey Ambassador, where guests will sample a selection of their award-winning whiskies, accompanied with gourmet finger food and live music from Paddy Jordan.
There will also be a raffle running all week with some fantastic prizes up for grabs including a signed Connacht Rugby Ball, hampers and vouchers.
All proceeds from the charity week will go directly to Breast Cancer Research, which is a national charity celebrating 26 years of positively impacting future outcomes for breast cancer patients by funding world-class breast cancer research at NUI Galway.
